Pluto TV: Live TV & Free Movies offers two ways to watch: browse live channels or choose a film or series from its on-demand library. The live option suits viewers who like to put something on without deciding exactly what to watch; on-demand viewing is better when you have a particular title in mind.
The channel guide presents scheduled programming in a familiar TV-style format, with channels arranged for browsing. The catalogue also includes films and TV series that you can select to watch when you choose. Both are supported by advertising, so expect ad breaks rather than an uninterrupted viewing experience.
This entertainment app is a fit for people who want a mix of scheduled TV and on-demand video, and who are comfortable with ads. It can also suit households looking for a free-to-access alternative to subscription streaming services. If you prefer an entirely ad-free experience, or want to know that a specific show is available before opening the app, check the current selection and viewing terms first.
Pluto TV combines channel surfing with a browseable video library, so you can either follow a schedule or choose a title. Its Google Play listing has a rating of about 3.7 out of 5 from 783,692 ratings, with 100,000,000+ installs. These figures give a sense of its reach and user response; they are not an independent verdict on whether it will suit you.
